Broadcom Inc. announced on August 4, 2025, that it is now shipping the Jericho4 ethernet fabric router, a platform purpose-built for the next generation of distributed AI infrastructure. This router is designed to interconnect over one million XPUs across multiple data centers, overcoming traditional scaling limitations.
Jericho4 delivers unmatched bandwidth, security, and lossless performance, crucial for AI models that exceed the power and physical limits of a single data center. It scales to 36,000 HyperPorts, each operating at 3.2 Tb/s, with deep buffering, line-rate MACsec, and RoCE transport over distances exceeding 100km.
Manufactured on a 3nm process, Jericho4 features Broadcom’s advanced 200G PAM4 SerDes, eliminating the need for extra components and resulting in lower power usage, reduced cost, and higher system reliability. It is fully compliant with specifications developed by the Ultra Ethernet Consortium (UEC), ensuring interoperability across open, standards-based Ethernet AI fabrics.
