Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. announced on March 4, 2025, an $8 million standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) order for the Naval Base of San Diego. This project is fully funded by a grant from the California Energy Commission (CEC). This strategic project will provide essential energy resilience to the U.S. Navy’s western fleet, enhancing operational reliability and supporting mission-critical functions. The order signifies Eos’s commitment to improving grid resilience in California and expands its partnership with the CEC. The project will be powered by Eos Z3™ Cubes, which are manufactured in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, and are known for their safety, non-flammable chemistry, and low operational costs due to the absence of cooling system requirements. This reinforces the company's commitment to domestic manufacturing and national security.
