The Life DisRPted™ campaign, which initially launched in October 2024 with NHL Hall-of-Famer Henrik Lundqvist, focuses on educating patients and caregivers about the importance of accurate and early diagnosis. Pearce's involvement seeks to inspire self-advocacy among patients who may be experiencing similar symptoms.
Recurrent pericarditis affects approximately 40,000 patients in the U.S. annually who seek treatment, with about 14,000 experiencing two or more recurrences. The campaign provides information on symptoms, disease understanding, and accessing appropriate care, with Pearce's story, 'The Power of Knowing,' available on LifeDisRPted.com.
