NextNav Inc. today announced the appointment of Renee Gregory as its Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, a newly created role within the company. Ms. Gregory will lead NextNav’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulatory approval process and compliance work. This appointment is integral to NextNav's mission of providing next-generation location technologies and a robust terrestrial complement and backup to GPS. Ms. Gregory brings over two decades of experience from both government and the private sector. Her career includes serving as Senior Policy Advisor for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and holding key advisory roles at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration and the FCC. She also held leadership positions at Google and prominent international law firms. Her expertise in policy and spectrum will be instrumental in shaping NextNav’s regulatory strategy, particularly as the company petitions the FCC to reconfigure the Lower 900 MHz band. This reconfiguration aims to enable a 5G-based terrestrial 3D PNT service that supports GPS resiliency and 5G broadband deployment.
