Peloton Interactive, Inc. announced key leadership appointments, naming Megan Imbres as Chief Marketing Officer, effective July 7. Imbres will oversee global brand and product marketing, growth marketing, creative, consumer insights, and member engagement. She brings over 20 years of experience with direct-to-consumer brands, including previous roles at Apple, Netflix, and Amazon Ads.
The company also created a new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) role, promoting Francis Shanahan, previously Senior Vice President of Connected Fitness Software, to the position. Shanahan will lead Peloton’s engineering and technical teams, spearhead the customer-facing AI innovation strategy, guide product architecture, and ensure system scalability and performance. He will report to Chief Product Officer Nick Caldwell.
These appointments underscore Peloton's commitment to creative and technical innovation to empower members and drive growth. CEO Peter Stern stated that Imbres's experience in growing subscription businesses and her track record of culturally resonant campaigns will propel Peloton's growth path. Shanahan's promotion highlights the important role AI plays in the connected fitness ecosystem, with his leadership already contributing to features like Personalized Plans and Pace Targets.
