Black Construction-Tutor Perini Joint Venture Awarded $113.3 Million Missile Integration Test Facility in Guam

Tutor Perini Corporation announced on October 2, 2024, that its joint venture with subsidiary Black Construction Corporation has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $113.3 million. The project is for the P-541 Missile Integration Test Facility at Naval Base Guam, under the Pacific Deterrence Initiative. The scope of work includes the construction of a single-story concrete 57,664 square-foot test facility on a deep pile foundation. This facility will support missile processing spaces, a missile test cell with a test control room, an administration area, and storage and utility rooms. The project also involves the demolition of an existing building, associated site improvements, and the installation of complete plumbing, air conditioning, ventilation, lighting, electrical power, telecommunications, life safety, fire protection systems, and an emergency power generator. Work is expected to begin shortly, with substantial completion anticipated in December 2028, and the contract value was added to the company’s backlog in the third quarter of 2024.
