Tutor Perini Corporation announced on October 3, 2024, that its subsidiary, Fisk Electric Company, has been awarded the first phase of an electrical services contract for a new Harris Health hospital in Houston, Texas. This initial phase is valued at approximately $29 million, part of a guaranteed maximum price contract currently valued at $147 million.
Fisk Electric's scope of work includes the core and shell and tenant finish-out electrical and fire alarm components for the ground-up construction of the new 12-story hospital tower and podium. The new hospital is slated to become Harris County's third Level I trauma center.
Work is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024, with substantial completion of the entire electrical contract anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2028. The initial $29 million portion of the contract value was added to the company's backlog in the third quarter of 2024.
