An Exxon Mobil-led consortium has commenced production at Yellowtail, its fourth floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel at the Stabroek Block in Guyana. This brings the total installed capacity from the oilfield to over 900,000 barrels of oil per day.
The ONE GUYANA FPSO, the largest on the Stabroek block to date, has an initial annual average production of 250,000 barrels of oil per day and a storage capacity of two million barrels. This significant increase in production capacity is a major milestone for ExxonMobil's upstream growth.
Dan Ammann, president of ExxonMobil Upstream Company, highlighted Yellowtail's ahead-of-schedule startup as a significant achievement. By 2030, ExxonMobil Guyana expects to have a total production capacity of 1.7 million oil equivalent barrels per day from eight developments, solidifying Guyana as a key growth engine.
