Apple announced a 19‑year virtual power purchase agreement (vPPA) with Econergy Renewable Energy Ltd. for the 52‑MW Resko solar farm in Poland. The agreement covers roughly 75% of the farm’s output at a fixed price, giving Apple a stable, long‑term renewable energy source for its Polish operations.

The Resko project was connected to the Polish national grid on November 18, 2025, and is expected to reach full commercial operation within 30 days. Apple’s vPPA will provide the company with a near‑term supply of clean power while locking in a 19‑year commitment that supports its broader goal of 100% renewable energy for all customer‑facing operations by 2030.

The deal is part of Apple’s expanding European renewable portfolio, which now includes projects in Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, and Romania, totaling 650 MW of new capacity. By securing long‑term contracts like this vPPA, Apple can hedge against volatile electricity prices and ensure a predictable cost base for its data centers and retail stores in the region.

For Econergy, the agreement delivers a stable revenue stream that underpins the financing of the Resko farm and future projects. The company’s recent acquisition of a Distribution System Operator license in Poland further enhances its ability to develop and manage renewable assets in the country.

The 19‑year term and fixed‑price structure align with Apple’s sustainability strategy, which aims to match 100% of its customers’ electricity use with clean energy. The vPPA also signals to investors and regulators that Apple is actively investing in Poland’s transition away from coal, supporting the country’s decarbonization goals.

Management comments: Econergy CEO Eyal Podhorzer said the partnership “demonstrates the quality of our assets and the strength of our commercial strategy.” Apple’s sustainability team highlighted that the Resko project will help the company meet its 2030 carbon neutrality target and reinforce its leadership in renewable energy adoption.
