AECOM Awarded Contract for LA Metro's Zero Emission Bus Transition

AECOM announced today it has been awarded a contract to provide program management, design, and engineering services for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s (Metro) transition to Zero Emission Buses (ZEB). This initiative is one of the largest electric bus programs in the nation. The scope of work includes ZEB and charging infrastructure conceptual design, specification, and procurement support. AECOM will also advise on implementation strategies to ensure a seamless transition to zero-emission operations, supported by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This project aligns with AECOM’s Sustainable Legacies strategy and leverages its expertise in transportation decarbonization. It is expected to set a national example for transit agencies modernizing their facilities and adopting new fleet technology.
