A Binnies and AECOM joint venture announced today its appointment by PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, to deliver professional engineering services for the Phase 3 expansion of Changi Water Reclamation Plant (WRP). This plant is one of the largest used water treatment facilities globally.
The third expansion phase will increase the plant's treatment capacity by up to 96 million gallons per day. The contract includes preliminary design, cost-benefit analysis, engineering studies, detailed design, and construction supervision of the expansion works.
This project reinforces Singapore's position as a global leader in advanced used water treatment and leverages AECOM's global experience in cutting-edge water reuse and reclamation technologies. The focus is on developing a future-ready masterplan to ensure the long-term sustainability and resilience of Changi WRP.
