AECOM announced today that its joint venture with AtkinsRéalis has been awarded a contract by the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) of the HKSAR Government. The contract is for Package 3 of the First Phase Development of the New Territories North – San Tin / Lok Ma Chau Development Node.
This project is a cornerstone of the Northern Metropolis, a major new development in Hong Kong designed to support approximately 2.5 million people and advance economic growth and sustainable urban development. AECOM will provide a comprehensive range of services, including design, tender, and construction supervision.
The approximately 190-hectare development, targeted for completion in 2038, will feature an innovation and technology industry hub, housing, community, and commercial spaces. AECOM will optimize land use by balancing modern development with nature and cultural conservation, utilizing digital twin platforms for efficient planning and delivery.
