AECOM Tishman announced today its selection by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) as the construction manager for the Dyer Avenue deck-overs project. These are the first contracts associated with the Midtown Bus Terminal replacement project, considered a critical infrastructure initiative.
The project encompasses the construction of two decks over below-grade portions of Dyer Avenue and the Lincoln Tunnel Expressway. These decks will serve as staging areas during the larger construction and will eventually be transformed into 3.5 acres of new publicly accessible open green space.
AECOM Tishman, with over 125 years of experience, will support the vision for a new world-class facility to replace the existing 73-year-old terminal. The new terminal is designed to meet projected commuter growth for 2040-2050 and enhance the quality of life for the surrounding community.
