Adobe Analytics reported that U.S. consumers spent a record $13.3 billion online on Cyber Monday, surpassing initial projections of $13.2 billion and marking a 7.3% increase year-over-year. During the peak hours of 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., consumers spent $15.8 million every minute, solidifying Cyber Monday's position as the largest online shopping day of all time. The entire Cyber Week period, from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday, generated $41.1 billion in online sales, representing an 8.2% increase year-over-year. This was bolstered by strong spending on Thanksgiving Day, which reached $6.1 billion (up 8.8% YoY), and Black Friday, which saw $10.8 billion in online sales (up 10.2% YoY). Mobile shopping played a dominant role, accounting for 53.1% of online sales during the season-to-date period (November 1 to December 2), totaling $69.8 billion. Deep discounts, particularly in electronics (peaking at 30.1% off) and toys (26.1% off), motivated consumers to make purchases. These strong e-commerce figures are a positive indicator for Adobe's Digital Experience segment, which provides tools for measuring and personalizing online shopping experiences.
