On 15 October 2025, AerCap Holdings N.V. announced a seven‑year agreement with GE Aerospace to provide lease‑pool management services for the GE9X engine, the newest engine in GE’s 777X program. The deal also extends AerCap’s existing lease‑pool support for the GEnx, GE90, CF6 and CF34 engines, creating a comprehensive service offering for GE’s full engine lineup. Under the agreement, AerCap will deliver GE9X shop‑visit management, lease‑return coordination, technical services, and lease documentation and administration support. GE Aerospace will invest in additional capacity, training and advanced tooling to support its GE9X customers as the engine approaches entry into service, ensuring that 777X fleets receive a full suite of overhaul, component repair and advanced diagnostics services. The contract expands AerCap’s engine‑leasing portfolio by adding the GE9X to its servicing capability, strengthening its partnership with GE Aerospace and positioning AerCap to capture recurring revenue from lease‑pool management. The long‑term nature of the deal provides a stable, predictable income stream and deepens AerCap’s footprint in the high‑technology engine market. AerCap, the global leader in aviation leasing with a portfolio that serves roughly 300 customers worldwide, leverages its extensive network and experience on multiple GE engines to manage the GE9X lease pool. The agreement reinforces AerCap’s strategy of delivering world‑class support to its customers and enhances its competitive advantage in the engine‑leasing segment.
