Agilysys announced that its cloud‑native InfoGenesis® Point‑of‑Sale platform has received full approval from IHG Hotels & Resorts for use across the entire IHG portfolio, covering Luxury & Lifestyle, Premium, Essentials, Suites and Partner brands. The approval extends the platform’s reach from a handful of resort properties to every IHG hotel worldwide, positioning Agilysys as a global POS provider for one of the world’s largest hotel chains.
In Q3 FY2025, Agilysys reported record revenue of $69.6 million, up 14.9% year‑over‑year from $60.6 million in Q3 FY2024. Subscription and maintenance revenue—key drivers of the company’s recurring‑revenue model—rose 45.1% YoY, underscoring the growing importance of the InfoGenesis platform in Agilysys’s growth strategy.
The InfoGenesis platform was already deployed at select IHG resort properties, but the new approval marks a strategic shift away from IHG’s historic reliance on MICROS POS systems. By gaining full‑portfolio approval, Agilysys gains a broader customer base and a stronger foothold in the hospitality technology market, while IHG signals a willingness to diversify its technology partners.
Agilysys holds a modest 0.01% share of the overall POS systems market, with competitors such as Square and Toast commanding much larger portions. The IHG approval therefore serves as a significant validation of Agilysys’s cloud‑native solution and provides a platform for future expansion into other hotel groups.
Joe Youssef, SVP and Chief Commercial Officer at Agilysys, said the partnership “reflects a shared commitment to curating exceptional guest experiences and enabling staff efficiencies through innovation, scalability and loyalty.” Andrea Cole, Vice President of Hotel Technology for IHG, added that the approval is part of IHG’s initiative to offer a “best‑in‑class suite of technology for IHG hotels.”
The approval opens substantial opportunities for subscription and maintenance revenue across IHG’s extensive portfolio, reinforcing Agilysys’s recurring‑revenue trajectory and strengthening its competitive moat in the hospitality POS market. While the company’s overall market share remains small, the deal signals a strategic win that could accelerate adoption of its cloud‑native ecosystem in other large hotel chains.
