Air Industries Group announced it has received a contract worth $2.6 million for main landing gear assemblies for the US Navy E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft. This award is specifically for aftermarket maintenance, repair, or overhaul of existing aircraft in service.
This new contract complements a previous $11 million award for E-2D landing gear assemblies, which was for the production of new aircraft. The distinction highlights the company's diversified support for the E-2D platform.
CEO Lou Melluzzo noted that this award supports the company's aftermarket initiative and its plan to broaden support for international customers. He also stated that for calendar year 2024, bookings of new business have been strongly more than billings, with over $45 million in new contracts announced in December 2024 alone.
