AirJoule Technologies announced that it has joined the Net Zero Innovation Hub for Data Centers, a pan‑European initiative launched in 2023 that brings together industry leaders such as Microsoft, Google, Data4, Vertiv, Schneider Electric and Danfoss to accelerate climate‑neutral data‑center solutions. The partnership will allow AirJoule to test its sorption‑based atmospheric‑water‑generation system in a real‑world data‑center environment in Fredericia, Denmark, with on‑site installation slated for summer 2026.

AirJoule’s system captures moisture from ambient air and condenses it into distilled water by using low‑grade waste heat from data‑center equipment. In laboratory trials, the technology has demonstrated a 4‑to‑1 energy advantage over conventional refrigerant‑based cooling and an 8‑to‑1 advantage over desiccant systems when waste heat is available. The A1000 unit can produce between 1,000 and 3,000 liters of water per day, a volume that can offset a significant portion of the millions of gallons of water that large data centers consume annually for cooling.

The data‑center sector is under increasing pressure to reduce both water and energy use, especially in water‑stressed regions. By generating its own water on site, AirJoule’s solution can reduce a data center’s reliance on municipal water supplies and lower its cooling energy bill. The partnership with the Hub provides a credible validation of the technology and access to a network of potential customers, positioning AirJoule to capture a growing share of the water‑efficient cooling market.

AirJoule has already secured $15 million in PIPE financing led by GE Vernova in April 2025, and it has announced a partnership with Nexus Data Centers that includes an onsite water purchase agreement. The Hub’s testbed in Denmark will serve as a demonstration platform that could accelerate broader commercialization, with AirJoule targeting commercial sales by 2026.

The collaboration signals that major cloud and enterprise operators are actively seeking sustainable infrastructure solutions. AirJoule’s entry into the Hub not only validates its technology but also provides a strategic launchpad for scaling deployments across Europe and beyond, potentially unlocking new revenue streams and strengthening its competitive position in the data‑center cooling market.
