AirJoule Technologies announced that it has been chosen as one of three winners in the Net Zero Innovation Hub for Data Centers, a pan‑European program launched in September 2025 to accelerate sustainable solutions in the data‑center industry. The announcement was made on 2026‑01‑08 and the program began this week in Fredericia, Denmark.

The Hub brings together leading operators and infrastructure providers—including Microsoft, Google, Data4, Vertiv, Schneider Electric, and Danfoss—to test and deploy innovative technologies that reduce water consumption and carbon emissions. AirJoule’s sorbent‑based atmospheric water generation system, which captures pure distilled water from ambient air using waste heat from data‑center operations, fits squarely within the Hub’s mission to deliver net‑zero performance in mission‑critical environments.

AirJoule’s technology can operate in low‑humidity conditions as low as 20 % and is designed for high energy efficiency when powered by waste heat. The company’s solution will be installed at the Hub’s testbed facility in Denmark, with on‑site deployment slated for summer 2026. This milestone is expected to accelerate AirJoule’s path to commercial contracts and recurring revenue through its Water Purchase Agreement model.

In addition to the Hub participation, AirJoule has secured a $15 million investment from GE Vernova in April 2025 and entered into a memorandum of understanding with Nexus Data Centers in June 2025, which is progressing toward a Water Purchase Agreement for the second half of 2026. These developments underscore the company’s growing traction in the data‑center sustainability market.

"This program represents an important step in the commercial deployment of AirJoule in mission‑critical data‑center environments," said Matt Jore, CEO of AirJoule Technologies. The partnership signals strong industry confidence and positions the company to capture a growing share of the water‑sustainability market as data‑center operators seek to meet net‑zero targets.
