Akoya Biosciences, Inc. announced on November 5, 2024, the launch of its ultrahigh-plex PhenoCode Discovery IO60 panel, featuring 60 tumor and immunology markers. This new panel is designed to provide comprehensive insights into immune landscapes and tumor-immune interactions, addressing a growing need for robust marker depth in immuno-oncology research.

The company also introduced a 24-biomarker mouse formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) IO antibody panel, optimized for preclinical immuno-oncology applications. This panel aims to enhance translational insights by enabling single-cell spatial phenotyping of key immune cell types in the tumor microenvironment, supporting comparative studies between mouse and human models.

These new offerings, combined with the PhenoCycler-Fusion 2.0 platform's capability to process over 16 samples per week, establish a new standard for speed and scale in ultrahigh-plex spatial proteomics. Akoya is also expanding its PhenoCode catalog of molecular barcodes, enabling researchers to scale experiments from 10 to 100s of biomarkers using the same chemistry, making advanced spatial biology more accessible.
