AstroNova, Inc. announced the launch of two new high-performance digital label presses, the QL-425 (A4 wide) and QL-435 (A3 wide), and a new direct-to-package printer, the VP-800, at FESPA Global Print Expo 2025 in Berlin, Germany. These new systems are designed to deliver enhanced speed, flexibility, and cost-efficiency for the light to medium production segment.
The new products incorporate a next-generation print engine technology, developed through the combined expertise of AstroNova and MTEX engineering teams, which is expected to broaden application ranges and provide customers with a lower total cost of ownership. This launch signifies progress in the integration and utilization of technology gained from the MTEX acquisition.
AstroNova also provided an update on its restructuring efforts, noting that personnel changes eliminated former MTEX positions and streamlined its executive leadership team, reducing direct reports to the CEO from ten to seven. These changes are part of a plan expected to result in $3 million in annualized cost savings, with realization beginning later in the third quarter of fiscal 2026.
