Allison Transmission announced a phase two contract with HST Otomotiv, its licensed manufacturer in Turkey, to provide the Allison X1100-5A4 cross-drive transmission. This transmission is for the Next Generation T-155 Firtina 155 mm Self-Propelled Howitzer for the Turkish Armed Forces. This agreement builds upon the success of Phase 1, which saw 10 transmissions successfully delivered to Turkey in 2024. The new phase two contract includes an additional 32 transmissions, with deliveries expected to commence in the first quarter of 2026. The X1100 cross-drive transmission is designed for heavy tracked combat vehicles, offering four forward and two reverse ranges, and integrating steering and braking into a single unit. This contract is part of several growth opportunities projected to drive $100 million of incremental annual revenue in Allison's Defense end market, with an estimated 140-160 Firtina Howitzers expected to be developed in total.
