Autoliv, Inc. has entered into two Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (VPPAs) with renewable electricity producers Alight and Eurowind Energy. These agreements are crucial for ensuring a consistent and reasonably priced energy supply for Autoliv's European operations, while mitigating risks from future energy price fluctuations.

The VPPAs are significant steps towards Autoliv's climate targets, which include achieving carbon neutrality in its own operations by 2030 and net-zero emissions across the supply chain by 2040. The contracts span 12 years, from 2027 to 2039, securing long-term renewable electricity supply.

The agreement with Alight supports the construction of a 100 MWp solar park in Eurajoki, Finland, projected to produce 100 GWh annually and operational by 2026. The Eurowind Energy agreement involves a 48 MW wind park in Romania, expected to generate approximately 176 GWh annually and be operational by 2027. This combination of solar and wind technologies ensures optimal energy generation.
