A London tribunal dismissed an $807.62 million (771 million euro) lawsuit filed by Stellantis against Autoliv and ZF/TRW. Stellantis had accused the safety equipment manufacturers of charging inflated prices for seatbelts, airbags, and steering wheels due to alleged cartel participation.

The lawsuit stemmed from findings by the European Commission that Autoliv and TRW, acquired by ZF Friedrichshafen in 2014, had engaged in cartels related to products sold to Japanese and European car manufacturers. The dismissal removes a significant potential financial liability for Autoliv.

This resolution eliminates a major legal uncertainty that could have impacted Autoliv's financial performance and investor sentiment. The company can now focus its resources without the burden of this substantial litigation.
