On April 3, 2025, Ameresco, Inc. and Matchbook Learning Schools of Indiana, Inc. hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for The Match High School and Career Center. This event marked a key milestone in the more than $20 million school project. Ameresco led the design, engineering, and construction to repurpose two industrial warehouse buildings into a high school and career center. Construction of the career center was completed in summer 2024, and the main school building was finished in March 2025. Energy efficiency improvements include advanced building automation controls, building envelope improvements, insulated TPO roofs, LED lighting upgrades, heat pump hot water heaters, and HVAC upgrades. A new 165KW photovoltaic (PV) solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) is slated for installation later in 2025 to provide reliable, renewable backup energy.
