Ameresco completed a solar photovoltaic installation across seven schools in the Orange Unified School District, covering four elementary schools, one middle school, and two high schools. The project includes rooftop and carport arrays that harness the district’s available roof and parking space to generate clean electricity.

The installation is expected to generate $6.3 million in savings for the district over a 25‑year period. Ameresco will own and maintain the systems, while the district will purchase the power under a fixed‑rate power purchase agreement for 25 years, locking in long‑term cost savings for the schools.

The project expands Ameresco’s footprint in California’s public‑school market and adds a sizable renewable asset to its portfolio. It follows a prior 2.1‑MW project with the district that began in July 2019, underscoring a growing partnership and Ameresco’s track record of delivering school‑based renewable solutions.

Ameresco’s recent quarterly results show continued growth, with Q3 2025 revenue at $526 million, up 5% year‑over‑year, and Adjusted EBITDA at $70.4 million, up 13%. The company reaffirmed its 2025 revenue guidance of $1.9 billion and Adjusted EBITDA guidance of $235 million, reflecting confidence in its renewable and efficiency pipeline.

The new solar deployment strengthens Ameresco’s recurring revenue base through the PPA and positions the company to capture further opportunities in the education sector, where schools are increasingly adopting renewable energy to reduce operating costs and meet sustainability goals.
