Ameresco Partners with City of Brockton to Modernize Historic Buildings

On March 13, 2025, Ameresco, Inc. announced its ongoing partnership with the City of Brockton, Massachusetts, to preserve and modernize historic buildings. This collaboration involves a $7 million energy savings performance contract (ESPC) for comprehensive upgrades and a $3 million ESPC for the War Memorial Building. The City Hall project is underway and will feature a Direct Outdoor Air System (DOAS) to improve air quality. The War Memorial Building has undergone significant enhancements, including a new HVAC system, advanced lighting, a new roof, and restoration of historic windows, with completion expected in 2025. These projects aim to enhance energy efficiency, improve air quality, and ensure healthier environments for occupants while preserving the unique character of the historic buildings.
