In this role, Tischler will be responsible for overseeing the bank’s Credit Services, Portfolio Management, and Credit Risk functions. His mandate includes ensuring strong credit quality, regulatory compliance, and strategic risk management, and he will serve as a key member of Amerant’s Executive Management Committee.
Tischler brings over 20 years of experience in banking and credit risk management, having previously served as Chief Credit Officer at City National Bank in Los Angeles. His extensive background also includes senior leadership roles at Fifth Third Bank, where he focused on credit risk executive duties, wholesale excellence, and commercial banking.
Chairman and CEO Jerry Plush stated that Tischler's addition will strengthen Amerant's credit and risk management capabilities. His expertise in credit and portfolio management is expected to be instrumental in achieving the bank's strategic growth agenda in a prudent and profitable manner.
