Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (ANF) announced a global partnership with Nedap, a leading provider of item‑level inventory visibility, to roll out the iD Cloud Store solution across its North American, EMEA and APAC retail networks. The partnership, announced on December 9 2025, will see the RFID‑enabled platform deployed in hundreds of ANF stores, with full implementation slated for the end of December 2025 after a successful 15‑store pilot that began in June.

The iD Cloud platform delivers real‑time, item‑level data on stock levels and exact locations, enabling faster in‑store order fulfillment and more accurate replenishment from back‑of‑house to front‑of‑house. By scaling the solution across its approximately 810 stores, ANF aims to improve omnichannel fulfillment, increase inventory accuracy, and enhance on‑shelf product availability—key levers for sustaining growth in a competitive apparel market.

Management highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership. Lauren Morr, Senior Vice President of Digital Operations, said the technology will “optimize operations with increased inventory accuracy and visibility,” while Nedap’s Bruno Bakker noted that the collaboration “elevates ANF’s omnichannel capabilities to a new level.” The investment is part of ANF’s broader technology agenda, which also includes AI initiatives to drive demand forecasting and pricing optimization.

Investors responded positively to the announcement, citing the partnership’s potential to reduce stockouts, lower markdowns, and improve the customer experience across online and in‑store channels. The move aligns with ANF’s recent earnings momentum, where Q3 2025 net sales reached $1.29 billion, up 6.8% year‑over‑year, and signals confidence in the retailer’s operational execution.

The partnership underscores ANF’s commitment to leveraging technology to strengthen its competitive position. By achieving higher inventory accuracy and faster fulfillment, the retailer can better meet consumer expectations for seamless omnichannel service, potentially translating into higher sales conversion and margin protection in the coming periods.
