Aon plc announced on October 10, 2024, the appointment of Emma Crookes as global head of the insurance vertical. In this new role, Crookes will expedite the development of Aon's client leadership model to bring integrated capabilities to re/insurance clients in a coordinated way across the firm. She will work with over 20 segment teams across five regions to explore common themes and execute relevant solutions.
Crookes, who previously led Aon's UK insurance vertical, will collaborate with Joe Peiser, CEO of Commercial Risk Solutions, and Lambros Lambrou, CEO of Human Capital, to embed the insurance vertical across all solution lines and regions. This initiative recognizes that re/insurance firms require strategic, transactional, and advisory services to address their multi-faceted business needs. Andy Marcell, CEO of Reinsurance Solutions and Risk Capital, emphasized Aon's commitment to delivering more capabilities to clients.
The appointment aims to help clients achieve profitable growth, optimize capital, and benefit from less volatile results, underpinned by strong talent and integrated solutions. Crookes's role will also involve managing Client Advisory Boards to gain insights into evolving client needs related to macro trends like cyber risk, climate change, and digital transformation.
