Alpha and Omega Semiconductor Limited (AOSL) today unveiled its AOZ73016QI, a 16-Phase, 2-rail controller specifically designed to NVIDIA’s latest OpenVReg16 (OVR16) specifications. This new controller is engineered to support further innovation in AI server and graphic card applications.
The AOZ73016QI is based on the company’s proprietary AOS Advanced Transient Modulator (A2TM) control scheme, offering excellent current balance and the capability to support up to a 48-phase design without additional phase doublers. When paired with AOS’ DrMOS and Smart Power Stages (SPS), the solution offers industry-leading efficiency and thermal performance, saving several hundred watts of power during peak current events.
This product launch highlights AOSL's investment in multiphase controllers and its close collaboration with customers' system architects to deliver robust power solutions for advanced AI servers. The unit price for the AOZ73016QI starts at $4.00 in 1,000-piece quantities, with production quantities immediately available.
