Agora, Inc. showcased key upcoming features for its Conversational AI Engine at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai. These enhancements are designed to further improve the naturalness and effectiveness of human-AI interactions.

New features include voiceprint-based attention locking, which allows AI agents to focus solely on the user's voice despite multiple background voices, mimicking the 'cocktail effect' in human hearing. Additionally, real-time vision-based intelligence was introduced, enabling AI agents to understand visual context, such as identifying objects in a room or solving problems on a whiteboard.

Compatibility with natural interactive avatars was also unveiled, synchronizing lifelike facial and body movements with speech to make conversations more engaging for applications in education and customer support. These innovations aim to bring AI agents closer to human-like conversation, enhancing user experience in diverse real-world scenarios.
