Rently and AppFolio Announce Integration to Expand Property‑Management Ecosystem

Rently, a resident‑lifecycle platform for single‑family and multifamily operators, and AppFolio, a leading property‑management software provider, have launched a two‑way integration that pulls property‑listing data from AppFolio into Rently and pushes tour and prospect data back into AppFolio. The move eliminates manual entry, ensures consistent information across both platforms, and automatically creates guest cards in AppFolio whenever a tour is scheduled through Rently, whether self‑guided or agent‑led.

The integration is built on AppFolio’s Stack marketplace, which has been available since June 2022. When a property listing is added or updated in AppFolio, the data is streamed into Rently, allowing operators to manage tours and leasing activities from a single interface. Conversely, every tour completed in Rently generates a guest card in AppFolio, capturing prospect details and marking the tour as finished, thereby improving lead tracking and closing speed for both single‑family and multifamily portfolios.

AppFolio’s Q3 2025 results provide context for the partnership: revenue rose to $249 million, a 21% year‑over‑year increase, while non‑GAAP operating income reached $59 million, giving a 23.5% operating margin. Rently, founded in 2011, reported $15.7 million in revenue for the year, and its integration with AppFolio’s 12% market‑share customer base is expected to accelerate its growth trajectory. The partnership therefore expands AppFolio’s ecosystem while giving Rently access to a large, mature user base that can drive additional adoption of its resident‑experience solutions.

Strategically, the integration dovetails with AppFolio’s AI‑native Performance Platform, which includes Realm‑X performers and an AI‑native architecture. By feeding richer, real‑time data from Rently into AppFolio’s AI engine, the platform can deliver more accurate predictive analytics for leasing, automate lead scoring, and enhance tenant engagement. For Rently, the partnership unlocks deeper integration with property‑management workflows, enabling it to embed its self‑guided touring technology into the core operations of a broad set of operators and to leverage AppFolio’s reporting and analytics capabilities.

Shane Trigg, President and CEO of AppFolio, said the integration “strengthens the value we deliver to existing customers while effectively capturing new market share.” Merrick Lackner, CEO of Rently, added that the partnership “helps operators unlock smarter workflows, make data‑driven decisions, and provide renters with a seamless and secure experience that connects every part of the leasing journey.”

The collaboration positions both companies to capture growing demand for end‑to‑end resident‑experience solutions in a market that is increasingly driven by AI and automation. By combining Rently’s touring expertise with AppFolio’s comprehensive property‑management suite, the alliance is expected to improve data integrity, enhance reporting, and accelerate adoption of AppFolio’s AI‑native tools across the real‑estate technology landscape.
