HiRain Technologies, a leading intelligent driving system provider in China, announced the launch of its LRR615, a production-intent long-range imaging radar system. This new system is powered by Arbe Robotics' high-performance chipset.
The LRR615 is the first radar system in China to feature a high-density waveguide antenna, offering ultra-high resolution and reliability across all weather and lighting conditions. It provides 10 times the detection capabilities compared to current radars on the market.
HiRain has completed full system integration and validation and is preparing to ramp up production capacity to deliver tens of thousands of units annually. This system is positioned as a cost-effective and scalable imaging sensor, complementing cameras and offering an alternative to LiDAR for L2+ and L3 autonomous driving in the Chinese market.
