Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, Inc. (ASE) was honored with a prestigious Gold Award at the 2024 PwC Sustainability Impact Awards for its marine conservation film, 'Guardians of the Sea.' Produced in collaboration with the ASE Environmental Protection and Sustainability Foundation, the film highlights the company’s innovative approach to marine conservation and environmental stewardship. This recognition underscores ASE's commitment to sustainability initiatives and social impact. The 'Guardians of the Sea' initiative, launched in 2021, focuses on restoring and protecting marine ecosystems. Since its inception, ASE has trained over 150 divers and organized more than 140 ocean cleanups, involving over 1,700 participants. These efforts have led to the restoration of 540 coral colonies and the cleaning of 270 coral reefs, significantly revitalizing damaged marine habitats. This impactful program aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), specifically SDG 14 (Life Below Water) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). ASE plans to expand the program, enhance marine conservation technologies, and strengthen educational efforts to further protect the marine environment, ensuring healthier oceans and cleaner beaches for communities.
