Auna S.A. announced that Peru’s Social Security System, EsSalud, has formally received the construction license for Torre Trecca, a 23‑story outpatient treatment center that Auna will rebuild and operate under its existing public‑private partnership. The license ceremony, held on November 18, 2025, was attended by Luis Del Carpio, Executive Director of ProInversión; Segundo Acho Mego, Executive President of EsSalud; Jesús Gálvez, Mayor of the Jesús María District; and Auna Vice Chairman Luis Felipe Pinillos.

Torre Trecca’s history is marked by decades of stalled construction and repeated delays. Initiated in the late 1960s, the project was abandoned for more than 50 years before the current PPP was launched in 2010. The new license therefore signals the first tangible progress in a long‑standing initiative, giving EsSalud a much‑needed expansion of its outpatient capacity in Lima’s densely populated districts.

Under the revised PPP contract, Auna will lead the reconstruction and day‑to‑day operations, while EsSalud will provide regulatory oversight and patient access. The amended agreement is expected to receive final approval by the end of 2025, paving the way for construction to begin in 2026. The facility is projected to serve over six million EsSalud‑insured residents in Lima and to handle more than three million visits annually, a dramatic increase in Auna’s service footprint in a key market.

The license milestone aligns with Auna’s strategy to grow integrated, high‑quality care in underserved Latin American markets. By expanding its outpatient capacity, Auna positions itself to capture a larger share of the growing demand for specialized medical services in Peru, while reinforcing its partnership model that has proven successful in other countries. The project also represents a significant financial opportunity, as the expanded capacity is expected to generate incremental revenue and improve operating leverage once construction is complete.

Luis Felipe Pinillos, Auna’s Vice Chairman, emphasized the importance of the achievement: “Securing the construction license after decades of delays demonstrates the resilience of our partnership model and our commitment to delivering essential health services to millions of Peruvians. The project will not only enhance patient access but also strengthen Auna’s long‑term growth trajectory in the region.”

While no immediate market reaction has been reported, the construction license is a clear signal of Auna’s continued focus on strategic expansion and its ability to navigate complex public‑private collaborations, reinforcing investor confidence in the company’s growth strategy.
