Broadcom Inc. announced the general availability of its Sian™ 2, 200 Gbps per lane (200G/lane) PAM-4 DSP PHY. This new product features 200G/lane electrical and optical interfaces, building upon the existing Sian DSP.
The Sian2 DSP is foundational for connecting next-generation AI clusters, enabling 800G and 1.6T links with 200G/lane optics for next-generation AI clusters. It is optimized for these optical module platforms to deliver higher bandwidth, lower power, lower latency, and reduced cost per bit.
This technology facilitates the scaling of AI data centers by addressing the dramatic growth in AI cluster sizes and performance needs. The Sian family of products reinforces Broadcom's leadership in optical DSP PHYs for high-performance AI infrastructure.
