The survey found that 75% of engineers believe market conditions for their design products are improving.
A significant 42% of engineers have already incorporated AI into their product design process and are currently shipping those products. Engineers anticipate AI will impact key product development functions such as increasing automation of design tasks, enabling more personalized designs, improving predictive capabilities for market needs, and reducing overall development cycles.
The survey also identified top challenges, including security and privacy concerns (37%), data quality issues (31%), integration with existing tools (25%), and high costs (24%). Avnet's insights into these trends are crucial for understanding the evolving technology landscape and the company's strategic positioning within it.
