Avnet announced on July 7, 2025, the appointment of Gilles Beltran as President of Avnet EMEA. Beltran, who previously served as President of Avnet Silica, one of Avnet's European semiconductor specialist divisions, will succeed Slobodan Puljarevic and Mario Orlandi.
Puljarevic and Orlandi co-led the EMEA region for seven years and will transition to focus on global projects within Avnet. Beltran brings over two decades of company-specific experience and in-depth knowledge of Avnet's internal processes to his new role.
This leadership change is intended to steer Avnet EMEA towards new opportunities and continued growth in the region. Beltran's extensive experience in electronics distribution is expected to be instrumental in driving collaboration and success across Avnet's European business units.
