Axon announced a series of new products and partnerships designed to expand its real-time network and public safety ecosystem. Key introductions include new fixed Automatic License Plate Reading (ALPR) camera solutions, Axon Outpost and Axon Lightpost. Axon Outpost is a smart fixed camera with on-device processing ALPR and live-streaming, while Axon Lightpost, developed with Ubicquia, transforms existing streetlights into smart public safety nodes.
These new solutions form Axon Vehicle Intelligence, which moves beyond traditional ALPR to provide deeper insights such as vehicle make, color, and visible damage. Axon also launched "Works With Axon," a certified third-party camera partner program to enable seamless integrations with self-service onboarding and compatibility assurance. This program allows certified cameras to integrate into agency maps and real-time workflows within the Axon ecosystem.
Further enhancing its AI capabilities, Axon unveiled Axon Assistant, a voice-activated AI solution embedded within Axon Body 4. This assistant will launch with initial skills including real-time translation, policy guidance, and license plate lookup, with additional skills expected later in 2025. Axon also broadened its partner ecosystem through integrations with Ring and Citizen, enabling secure video sharing between private enterprises and local agencies, and allowing agencies to access public alerts and user-shared video feeds directly within Axon Fusus.
