Boeing announced that it delivered 160 commercial aircraft during the fourth quarter of 2025, the highest quarterly total since 2018. The commercial deliveries included 117 737s, 27 787s, 10 767s and 6 777s, a jump from 57 commercial aircraft delivered in Q4 2024. The surge reflects a sharp rebound in production capacity and a growing backlog of airline orders that the company has been able to convert into revenue.

In the defense and space segment, Boeing delivered 37 units in Q4 2025, a figure that corrects the earlier misstatement of 131 units. The defense deliveries comprised a mix of new and remanufactured aircraft, including 14 remanufactured AH‑64 Apache helicopters, 5 new Apache units, and a handful of other platforms such as KC‑46 tankers and F‑15 fighters. The 37‑unit total represents a modest but meaningful contribution to the company’s overall operational output.

The record commercial delivery count is driven by several headwinds that Boeing has successfully mitigated. The acquisition of Spirit Aerosystems in December 2025 restored control over key component supply chains, reducing lead times for critical parts. Additionally, the Federal Aviation Administration lifted the 737 MAX production cap from 38 to 42 aircraft per month, allowing Boeing to increase output without compromising quality. These actions, combined with a stabilized supply chain for key materials, have enabled the company to meet the heightened demand from airlines.

The delivery rebound also signals a broader turnaround in Boeing’s commercial program. The company’s backlog of 737 MAX orders has grown to over 1,200 units, and the 787 program has seen a steady increase in orders for the 787‑9 and 787‑10 variants. The strong delivery performance is expected to translate into higher revenue and improved operating margins in the coming quarters, as the company benefits from economies of scale and a more efficient production footprint.

Boeing’s leadership has highlighted the significance of the delivery milestone. CEO Kelly Ortberg emphasized that the company’s focus on operational excellence and supply‑chain resilience has paid off, allowing Boeing to deliver record numbers and position itself for sustained growth.

The delivery announcement has been well received by the market, with analysts noting the company’s improved execution and the positive trajectory of its commercial and defense programs. The record deliveries are expected to reinforce investor confidence in Boeing’s long‑term growth prospects.
