Braskem celebrated the arrival of the 'Brave Future,' its new ethane carrier, marking a significant expansion of the company’s global logistics strategy. This vessel, valued at approximately R$500 million, is the second dedicated ethane carrier in Braskem's fleet.
The 'Brave Future' will operate on the crucial route connecting the United States, Mexico, and Brazil, enhancing Braskem's logistics autonomy and reducing maritime transport costs. The vessel has a capacity of 36,000 m³ and is capable of transporting cargo at temperatures as low as -104°C.
Equipped with a dual-fuel engine, the new vessel boasts high fuel efficiency and a propulsion system that reduces CO₂ emissions by approximately 40% compared to the average fleet. Braskem Trading & Shipping expects to receive four more ships by 2026, further strengthening its commitment to sustainable and efficient logistics solutions.
