Brookfield Asset Management, alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, announced a €20 billion infrastructure investment program to support the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in France. This investment is projected to be delivered by 2030.

Up to €15 billion of this investment will be directed towards data centers, led by Brookfield’s portfolio company, Data4, one of Europe’s largest data center developers. Data4 plans to build over 500 MW of data center capacity in France, with an ambition to triple that by 2030.

An additional €5 billion is planned for investment across associated AI infrastructure, including data transfer, chip storage, and energy generation. This program positions France to compete on the global stage for AI development and reinforces Brookfield's role as a major investor in the AI value chain.
