Banc of California announced on October 1, 2024, that Ken McMullen has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Treasurer. He is a member of the Senior Management Committee and reports directly to Joe Kauder, Banc of California’s Chief Financial Officer. This appointment is part of the bank's strategy to attract experienced professionals as it continues to grow.
In his new role, Mr. McMullen is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bank’s corporate treasury function. This includes the corporate investment portfolio, balance sheet supervision, and the development of funding and capital strategies. He also manages interest rate risk and liquidity for the bank.
Mr. McMullen brings over three decades of financial services experience to Banc of California, having previously served as Treasurer for the combined U.S. operations of BNP Paribas USA, Inc. He also held the position of Executive Vice President and Treasurer at Bank of the West and, most recently, served as Treasurer at Varo Bank. His extensive background is expected to enhance the bank's treasury team.
