Mercury Marine, a division of Brunswick Corporation, announced the latest expansion of its Verado outboard lineup with the introduction of an all-new V10 425hp Verado outboard and a performance-enhanced V10 350hp Verado outboard. These new models set new benchmarks for performance in the high-horsepower outboard segment. They deliver exceptional power, acceleration, and fuel efficiency while maintaining Mercury’s reputation for smoothness and quiet operation.
The new 425hp model provides class-leading acceleration and significant weight advantages compared to a 450hp competitor. In Mercury’s testing, it was 10% faster from 0-20 mph, 15% faster from 0-30 mph, and 10% lighter. The upgraded 350hp model delivers impressive improvements, being 10% faster from 0-20 mph, 10% faster from 0-30 mph, and achieving 1-2 mph higher top speed.
Both engines are built on Mercury’s compact V10 platform, offering 26-inch center-to-center mounting, making them suitable for repowering boats originally rigged with L6 Verado or competitive outboards. Digital Throttle & Shift is standard, and Joystick Piloting is available for exceptional control and precision.
