On October 28, 2024, Biogen Inc. announced that Michael McDonnell, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, plans to retire from the company on February 28, 2025. Robin Kramer, who currently serves as Chief Accounting Officer, will succeed Mr. McDonnell as Chief Financial Officer upon his retirement. Mr. McDonnell, who has held his current role since August 2020, was instrumental in repositioning Biogen's cost structure and redeploying capital towards growth areas, including strategic acquisitions of late-stage assets. His leadership contributed to fostering a culture of financial discipline within the company.
