BNY Mellon announced the integration of Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise AI platform into its enterprise AI platform, Eliza, on December 8 2025. The move adds agentic deep‑research capabilities, allowing employees to build AI agents that can quickly process, synthesize, and analyze financial reports, data sets, and historical trends while automating routine, data‑intensive tasks.
The integration incorporates Gemini 3 and Veo 3 models, giving Eliza advanced reasoning and generative abilities. BNY has already deployed 117 AI solutions in production—an increase of 75 % from the second quarter of 2025—demonstrating rapid scaling of its AI portfolio and the breadth of use cases across the organization.
This development is a key component of BNY’s broader platform transformation, which seeks to deliver operating leverage and margin expansion through technology. Chief Data & AI Officer Sarthak Pattanaik said the partnership embodies the bank’s “AI for everyone, everywhere and everything” philosophy and will deepen research, streamline data integration, and elevate the user experience for clients.
By expanding research capabilities and automating routine tasks, the integration is expected to accelerate the development of new digital products, support higher‑value client interactions, and reinforce BNY’s competitive position in the evolving custody and wealth‑tech landscape. The move also aligns with the bank’s digital‑assets strategy and its goal of becoming a technology‑enabled custodian and market‑services provider.
BNY manages $57.8 trillion in assets under custody and/or administration and $2.1 trillion in assets under management. The Gemini Enterprise integration is projected to accelerate AI monetization and operational efficiency, further strengthening the bank’s technology‑driven growth trajectory.
The announcement signals BNY’s continued commitment to AI and technology as a core driver of future growth and competitive advantage.
