Baker Hughes inaugurated its new purpose-built surface pressure control (SPC) headquarters and manufacturing center in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on November 1, 2024. This 46,000-square-meter facility, developed in collaboration with Al Ghaith Energy, is strategically positioned to enhance customer support from one of the world's key energy hubs.
The Abu Dhabi Surface Pressure Control Solutions Center will provide a full range of wellhead and surface tree equipment and services to customers in the Middle East and globally. The UAE's location will facilitate local supply, leading to shorter shipping times, streamlined delivery schedules, and improved supply chain logistics.
This opening marks a significant milestone in Baker Hughes' 60-year commitment to the UAE, creating over 100 additional local jobs and establishing an on-site training center to strengthen the regional talent pipeline. The facility features state-of-the-art cladding capabilities, assembly, testing, repair, inventory management, and field services, with its first product expected by year-end.
