BKV Corporation announced the execution of an agreement with a leading diversified midstream energy company to develop a new carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) project in East Texas. This agreement expands on a previously announced partnership between the two companies.

The new CCS project will be constructed at an existing natural gas processing plant in East Texas and is projected to become operational in early 2027. BKV forecasts that approximately 70,000 metric tons per year of carbon dioxide waste stream could be captured at this facility.

This expansion further solidifies BKV's CCUS portfolio and its commitment to providing low-carbon energy solutions. The project will be owned by BKV, with the potential for transfer to its recently announced CCS joint venture with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, highlighting its integrated growth strategy.
