Brenmiller Energy Ltd. announced today that a large-scale solar energy project integrating its bGen™ thermal energy storage (TES) solution has been selected to receive funding from the European Union's Innovation Fund 2023 Call for Net Zero Technologies. Brenmiller Europe's supply of bGen is estimated to receive €4,000,000.

This marks the second bGen project within two months to secure non-dilutive project funding from the European Union. The 5 MWe bGen system is expected to contribute to the avoidance of 1.45 million tons of CO2 equivalent over 10 years and achieve a 104% increase in energy efficiency.

The project configuration enables the effective replacement of fossil-fuel-based steam generation in industrial processes. This funding further validates Brenmiller's technology and its role in advancing sustainable heat solutions across Europe.
